We designed the SolJam solar panel to produce about 350mA of current in “good” sun conditions (middle of the day, no clouds, etc.), and the SolJam consumes about 300-400mA of current when playing at high volume…..so in these conditions, the solar panel will keep the SolJam battery charged while playing music. Please note that if you use the charge out port on the SolJam, it will use up to 1000mA of current, so the solar panel will not be able to keep up with this power drain and the battery level will drop (but the solar power in will slow down how fast the battery drains).
