The Carbon Offroad Scout Pro RS9-S is the short-drum variant of our high-speed series, built for race buggies, UTVs, and custom builds where mounting space is limited but speed is non-negotiable.
Performance Specs
The RS9-S doesn't sacrifice power for its smaller footprint. It runs the same 8.0HP motor as our full-size unit, paired with a performance-tuned 80:1 gear ratio. This setup provides the highest line speeds available in the UTV/Buggy class, ensuring you spend less time winching and more time moving.
It's built to be a fast, reliable recovery tool that keeps the front end light and fits where standard winches won't.
You can upgrade this winch with the Carbon Offroad Air Freespool Clutch Upgrade, specifically designed for use with Carbon Offroad 12K and Scout Pro winches.

Builder & Racer Note
The RS9-S features a shortened drum and chassis to fit narrow mounting locations common in race buggies and UTVs. Despite its compact 385mm (15.16") length, it retains the full-sized 8.0HP motor. Ensure your mounting plate or winch cradle is rated for 4080kg (9000lb) loads, as this unit packs significantly more punch than standard UTV-class winches.
