Great product! The orange really stands out. When doing recoveries with individuals not familiar with recovery equipment it is great to say "the orange thing" and they instantly spot it. Fit and finish is perfect, hook it large enough to hook into any shackle or recovery point you need.

Amazing product! I have ran all the big names and by far these are the best all around products. From the packaging, install, and use, Carbon gives you everything you need minus the tools to install and the place to put it. Couldn't be happier, that is why we have several of them on our rigs. Have not used it for a recovery yet but I'm in love with the line speed, ease of the free spool pull out. You need a quick pull out game or things could get costly...

And the duffle bag it comes in. That's great! Holds my Bubba Rope, tree protector, three soft shackles and my Yankum "wheel of death"! Just kidding, this things are tough as any slant eyed drill instructor!

Installation was a breeze with the supplied kit. I'm an electrician so wiring was a easy.

If you're not a wire nut please, PLEASE have someone that is check your work.

Love my new 12K winch and Mega Pro winch hook. Easy install and everything arrived in great condition.

Feels well made and durable. Is beefy and compliments my ride. There is one thing I would change though. The pin clip. I think a pin that is enclosed within the hook and held in place with an internal c clip would have a less chance of getting caught on something as the pin with the external c clip does.

The battery isolator switch is a necessary bonus that takes the guesswork out of sourcing an aftermarket option, but this particular model switch is deeper than necessary. Fitting the switch under the bonnet near the stock battery location of a North American JKUR (2015) required a bit or dremel-ing of stock plastic on the nearby relay mount - NBD. The leads comfortably reach the winch from the battery with excellent terminal connections and well insulated wires, though conduit is only supplied for the positive wire. Boots for the lead contacts at the winch are borderline flimsy but seem intended to stretch fit over the different colored bases of the nut mounts - this is somewhat difficult to achieve. Instructions are at times wandering, rather than linear and sequential. Overall, a very quality kit that achieves its intended purpose handily.

The Mega Pro winch hook came with a recently purchased Carbon 12000. It is a high quality hook and a welcomed upgrade. The hook looks great and mounts flat and tight against the fairlead. It has a good quality paint coating for corrosion resistance. The rubber base pad is glued on and it seems that attaching with counter sunk screws might be better for longevity. However I’ve had no issues with rubber base as provided on the hook. I am very pleased that Carbon Offroad chooses to supply their winches with the upgraded hook. On a side note the supplied winch rope thimble is reinforced. Thats a small detail that sometimes goes unnoticed.

Great winch, fast delivery and on time. Could use more packaging protection as the winch itself arrived with visible but cosmetic wear from transit. So far everything looks very well put together, quality is definitely there. This is before install and use, but i have no doubt it will work very well once mounted.

I was shocked when I opened the box and the winch was in an awesome carrying bag. The quality is top knotch and the orange matches my Mojave perfectly!

This is an amazing winch! I was surprised when I ops ed the winch and it came in its own carrying bag. The quality is top knotch and the shipping was fast. I love the remote option for the controls.

Took around 2 minutes to swap over and it's been brilliant. Sits snug against the fairlead and keeps the rope out of harm's way. Also, it fits easily behind my flip up reg plate.

I can get both loops of my tree trunk protector in and out of it easily which was a struggle with my stock hook.

Definitely recommend this to anyone looking to speed up and simplify using their winch, and to get their winch rope away from the bash plate if you currently have your hook connected to a recovery point 👍🏻

Finally ... My entire rig is now considered exotic because I chose the lamborghini-green coloured hook 🤣

I haven't had to use it yet, which is ideal. But the install was smooth, and it runs so quietly compared to my last one. I know it will get me out of my next situation with ease!

Installed into a pajero sport Piak front bar. Job has worked out good. Quality is high and the included winch bag is a bonus. Only small issue was the mounting washers collapsing under the correct torque, as the piak bar has large mounting holes. Upgraded them. The mounting bolts could be a bit longer so removed spring washers for now and used locktite. Love the winch hook and the way it pulls up tidy to the fairlead. Haven't used yet except for show and tell. Happy with purchase and quality. Highly recommend.

Simple easy install. Tidies the front up nicely. No more climbing under car to retrieve winch hook.

The winch and components arrived fast and installation was a breeze. I had a couple of questions prior to purchasing and Carbon Off Roads customer service was quick to respond.
