The Carbon Offroad MegaPro Tow Hitch Receiver Recovery Point is a premium, versatile recovery solution designed to fit various 50mm receiver hitches. Its adjustable mounting options suit both shallow and deep-style hitches, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of vehicles.
Crafted from high-grade 6061-T6 aluminium and precision CNC machined, this recovery point delivers both incredible strength and a premium finish. The Type III hard anodized coating provides excellent corrosion resistance for long-lasting durability off-road. Weighing just 1.2kg (2.6lbs), it is significantly lighter than many comparable steel options on the market.
The MegaPro Hitch features a smooth-edged shackle mount, making it completely safe for use with synthetic rope soft shackles. It is also compatible with standard Carbon Offroad 4.25T Bow Shackles, offering flexible recovery configurations to suit your setup.
Mounting Options & Versatility
The MegaPro Hitch can be mounted with either horizontal or vertical shackle orientations, allowing you to adapt to different recovery situations and angles of pull:
- Upward-facing shackle point: Allows lateral movement, ideal when the recovery vehicle is offset from the stuck vehicle.
- Sideways-facing shackle point: Enables vertical movement, perfect for recoveries on steep inclines or declines.
Testing & Durability
The MegaPro Hitch has undergone rigorous NATA-accredited testing by Mechtest in Brisbane, Australia. During destructive testing, the standard mounting pin failed at nearly 20 tonnes, while the MegaPro recovery point itself remained completely intact -demonstrating exceptional structural strength and safety.

I found out about your company from watching YouTube and was watching random videoe saw ypr video I was impressed I bought your Tank 20,000 lb winch great half price clearence sale also purchased recovery bag love it bought your Hook( Orange color),its quality products from what I can determine having received all my ordered items from you Price is good some other companies charge a lot higher prices than your company does Im sure you know factor 55 IDAHO USA has similar quality gear as your company they charge a lot more not about the $ its about safety I think your products are more durable and strong I would recommend your company for sure Hell Yeah 5 stars out of 5 I saw 5 or 6 YouTube videoes recently best 5 or 10 winches your brand was not included or rated in any of them I recommend you make some YouTube commercials I think you should build up recognition here in the states all you hear is waren, x,-bull , harbor freight winches (garbage) and a few others I do see a lot of your information videoes on you tube ok thanks I am confident I have the best recovery gear available the military is probably the only ones that have better is not available to purchase thanks Stephen Sullivan

As yet have not had the opportunity to use it very happy with the quality and being able to use soft shackle or 4.5T bow shackle.

Rattles more than the Toyota tow hitch (which is 51x51mm) compared to Carbon item which is slightly less at 50x50 - had to tighten up the bolt/ lock nut and then slacken it off when putting the Toyota hitch back in

Product was as expected. Haven't used it yet, of course a piece of recovery gear is like an insurance policy. You need to have it and trust it will work for you when required, but you wouldn't be wanting to be in a situation to use it often.
Ordering was easy, I placed a pick up order from the Perth Warehouse, but the guys have incorrectly processed it for shipping/postage. I didn't have to pay any extra, the guys are carbon offroad acknowledged, they'd made a mistake and the postage cost was on them. Received the goods in about 7-10 days. Happy with it. Definitely will recommend it to friends and family, which I have already done.
